Security Settings

This guide provides an overview of the various security permissions settings within the management tools module. It covers system permissions, web UI permissions, IDE permissions, DM permissions, app permissions, menu permissions, workflow permissions, connection permissions, and HR permissions. These settings are essential for defining user and group access across different system areas, ensuring robust security and streamlined administration.

Getting Started

How to Access Security Permissions?

  • Administrative Tools > Security: Access the comprehensive security settings via the administrative tools menu.
  • Module-Specific Settings: Each sub-guide focuses on a specific area of permissions (e.g., System, Web UI, IDE, Document Management, Application, Menu, Workflow, Connection, and HR).
  • User and Group Assignments: Configure permissions for individual users or groups using options like Allow, Deny, or Unassigned.

What is the Scope of Security Permissions?

  • System Permissions: Manage low-level access controls and core system settings.
  • Web UI Permissions: Define which web interface elements and functionalities users can access.
  • IDE Permissions: Control access to features within the integrated development environment.
  • DM Permissions: Regulate document, folder, and file operations within the document management system.
  • App Permissions: Set rights for specific application functionalities.
  • Menu Permissions: Determine which menus and navigation options are available to users.
  • Workflow Permissions: Configure user rights for managing and executing workflows.
  • Connection Permissions: Manage access to system integrations and external connections.
  • HR Permissions: Govern permissions related to human resource data and operations.

These security permissions work together to ensure that users have the appropriate level of access across all system modules, protecting sensitive data and supporting effective business processes.
